Commune of more than 3,000 inhabitants, Carantec became, at the beginning of the 19th century, a popular seaside resort. Sheltered from the north winds and benefiting from a microclimate, it has a coastline cut out over a dozen kilometres. Its two beautiful beaches, the White Strike and the Kelenn beach, have done much for its fame. As for the Pointe de Pen-al-Lann, it offers a magnificent panorama of the Bay of Morlaix. Various points of view allow to observe the castle of the Bull and the Louët island. And for hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers, Callot Island is accessible by a submersible causeway depending on the time of the tides
