LE GUEULE DE BOIS

Beer bar
5/5
1 review

This beer bar is located behind the Halles Saint-Louis, next to the grand staircase. Wood dominates in this cosy establishment, where you'll obviously come for a good local beer and a plate of charcuterie and cheese. You'll have a wide choice of draught beers (the bar has 12 taps) and bottled beers, including several local ones (Terenez, for example). But don't worry, the bar also serves wine, for those who don't like bubbles. And when the weather's fine, you can take advantage of the terrace for after-work drinks, or enjoy a coffee on Sunday mornings, after a stroll through the nearby St Louis market!

LES FAUVETTES

Beer bar
3.6/5

Closed - Open to 17h00

Located in the Saint-Martin district, not far from the church, this pub is a Brest institution! It takes its name from the warblers that chirped in the trees of the Saint-Martin wood in the 17th century. With its old-fashioned facade and wooden half-timbering, giving it the air of a tavern, it offers a warm decor and welcome. Considered by some to be the best beer bar in town, it's a meeting place for many gangs of friends, and all generations gather here for a pint. Definitely a place to go for an aperitif "à la brestôase".

As an added bonus, the place regularly organizes quiz nights, for all those who enjoy group games.

PIPELINE

Beer bar

Among the many bars in lower Siam, Pipeline stands out for its originality. The first thing that strikes you when you arrive is the incredible decor, in particular the superb street art frescoes adorning the walls. Then all you have to do is choose: three floors, three atmospheres. We particularly enjoyed the first floor, with its Breton shuffleboard! With the bar team's good advice, you'll also be spoilt for choice among the thirty or so draught beers on offer. Special mention must also be made of the chip clamp machine! A great evening is in store at this bar, which also serves street food.

LE GRABUGE

Beer bar

Closed - Open to 16h00

In the heart of the Recouvrance district, Le Grabuge is a story of friends. First, Maxime and Steven: friends in high school and now in their thirties, they set up this beer bar together in the walls of the former bistrot National, a neighborhood institution. Today, Le Grabuge has become a meeting place for friends, and it's impossible to spend an evening in Recou' without having a mug (or several, in moderation of course) from the excellent selection of craft beers. And don't worry, the name is more a nod to the neighborhood's reputation than a reality! You'll find a very cool atmosphere and a program of concerts, stand-up, improv and game broadcasts.
