It is at the heart of the Three Borders region, which is located in the Village of Village, 3 km from Basel, Switzerland and less than 10 km from Lörrach, Germany. Following the link between Alsace and France by the Treaty of Westphalia, a royal order imposes the transfer of the village of Grand-Huningue to an ancient island of the Rhine, named Bourg-Neuf-d'Aoust, then Village-Nine in 1704. Until 1970, the main activity was vegetable production, a large part of which is exported via Basel today. Since then, industrial companies have established themselves and employ many people from the ground. The coexistence of these two activities is the major asset of Village-Neuf. Its exceptional geographical location is confirmed by the proximity of major motorway, air, rail and port infrastructures. Village-Neuf also owes its world renown to the culture of its famous white asparagus. What's more natural than attending the birth of the mythology of asparagus in 1986. Many restaurants offer the famous vegetable in all its forms.
