This seaside commune is made up of three distinct districts: the old stone village, home to numerous small manor houses. Founded in 1880, the seaside resort of Val-André boasts a long, beautiful sandy beach, bordered by a pleasant promenade and overlooked by elegant early 20th-century villas in pink sandstone or schist, adorned with brickwork and bow-windows. On the other side of the Pointe de la Guette, nestles the charming port of Dahouët, once dedicated to cod fishing, now turned over to yachting. Pléneuf hosts two markets throughout the year: Tuesdays in the village, Fridays in Val-André.
