Dinan is a magnificent medieval city classified as a Ville d'Art et d'Histoire. It was built in the 11th century. In the 18th century, it was a city of weavers, whose livelihood depended on the manufacture of sails for transport to Saint-Malo. Dinan's charm lies in its many pedestrian streets, where you can admire superb medieval residences with elaborate half-timbered facades. The magnificent Rue du Jerzual, entirely cobbled, will take you from the heart of Dinan to the port and its charming little stone bridge, where you can stroll along the banks of the Rance and enjoy the terraces of the many bars and restaurants on offer.
