On the slopes of Marc'halla (284 m), at the limit between the Breton and the Gallo country. The commune was Breton for most of its history. A map of 1700 places Boquého in Basse-Bretagne (botcaxo). But during the great imperial linguistic research, Boquého is placed in High-Brittany. Boquého thus benefited from these two cultures, Breton and French. Close to the agglomeration of Briochine, and to the medieval city of Quintin, the commune is an old city of flax which made the prosperity of the country in the XVIIIth century. In spite of its recent development, it has kept its rural character.
