Situated on the busy road between Chalon and Tournus, the town's name changed several times before it became Sennecey. In the 18th century, the town was a major cabinet-making center, renowned for its cabinets and sideboards. Sennecey's heritage can be explored during bucolic strolls. Wash-houses, chapels, crosses and calvaries provide a wonderful glimpse into the past. The Ruffey park, with its conservatory orchard near the Special Air Service Memorial, is an enchanting interlude in this pretty town. Families will appreciate the "Balatitude" puzzle trail, to discover local treasures.
