The origins of Savianges go back to antiquity and the village, crossed by an ancient Roman road linking Autun to Mâcon, owes its name to a Gallo-Roman villa called Savianga. This rural village of about a hundred inhabitants, dominated by the hill of Bois Rougeon, offers pleasant rural landscapes for a green walk, on the banks of the Guye river for example.
