Saint-Maurice-lès-Couches, a typical and picturesque winegrowing village, was founded in 1295 on the site of a Roman chapel dedicated to Saint Maurice. Built in 1480, the church of the same name replaced the Romanesque church. It has portals and stained glass windows of flamboyant Gothic style, the interior of the church was restored in 1840. The town also has a Gallo-Roman stele in the wall of the church. Remains of mills fed by the "Vielle", known as the river of Bouhy and Corcelles, trace the past of grain mills in the town. They are located between the bridge of Corcelles, the bridge of the mills path and the path of Bras... An orientation table allows you to discover the village and the surrounding vineyards.
