The rural commune of Saint-Emiland has a number of curiosities, including a 15th century oratory in the cemetery, the Fountain of Saint-Emiland and the Pierre Guénachère nearby, a Romanesque church and two restored washhouses. The church of Saint-Emiland existed before the 11th century and a chapel was added at that time to house the remains of the Holy Bishop. The primitive part, façade and choir, with its rectangular tower, is in Romanesque style and has fluted pilasters. The ogival chapels, with their complicated Gothic vaults, are from the 15th century. From the great nave, three simple arcades give access to the choir and the chapels. The chapel of the Saint has a stone niche closed by a wrought iron gate, housing the reliquary. Three of the five existing bells remain and are listed in the inventory of historical monuments. Finally, a visit to Saint-Emiland cannot be completed without a visit to the castle of Epiry.
