Gallo-Roman remains date Mesvres back to antiquity. Hiking trails winding through the commune and its surroundings take in the Saint-Martin priory, Madame de Sévigné's bridges, and a breathtaking view of the "Certenue", a popular spot for paragliders who come here not only for the chapel and miraculous fountain. You'll also discover the 12th-century Romanesque church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption and a number of interesting houses. The Mesvrienne circuit takes walkers on a 5-kilometer yellow trail around the village.
