Château d'Etroyes, which celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2020, was taken over in 2018 by a group of passionate associates. With 50 ha of vineyards spread over the slopes of Mercurey and Rully, this 18th century castle has the typical profile of large winegrowers' houses with a park where several cedars stand. The domain expresses its will of quality with the HVE3 certification acquired in June 2021 and the investment of new tools of wine making for the quality of the wines. The organization is optimal for the reception of the visitors in the cellar and for privileged visits.

Our wide range offers no less than 25 cuvées: a mosaic of terroirs in the Mercurey and Rully appellations. A range that has been enriched from the 2019 vintage with 5 plot-based cuvées, the fruit of meticulous selection and maturation work.

The tasting promises an immersive journey of discovery of the climates and localities of Burgundy: La Chatalienne, Les Fromanges, Les Ormeaux, Le Clos des Noiterons, Le Clos des Corvées, Les Champs Martin, Les Velley, Les Combins, Les Crêts without forgetting the majestic Clos l'Evêque.

Message from Management ETROYES CASTLE

Our estate practices a reasoned viticulture and will be able to be certified HVE3 in 2021 (High Environmental Value). We have been working for three years on the biological renewal of the soils, not to mention our conversion to organic farming on a few parcels prior to a future extension to the rest of the vineyard. These methods, which respect the environment and the fruit, now allow us to express and sublimate the singularity of each terroir.

Our know-how is notably legitimized by the rigorous selection and sorting of the grapes, as well as by a precise and rigorous maturation.

Our mission is to help express the true potential of the great wines of Château d'Etroyes and to reveal the essence of the renowned terroirs of Burgundy.
