On the Apurímac River, at 3,700 m, the Q'eswachaka Bridge is a spectacular 30-meter long engineering work made of straw and stone, preserved to this day and Unesco Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2013. Every year, on the2nd week of June, this place undergoes an incredible renovation. Community members gather to demolish the bridge dropping its bases on the river, then women and children collect the qoya-ichu or straw and weave while the men install it little by little. Four communities unite around this work in minka as in the time of the Incas. 3h30 from Cusco.
