Trigodina is a stage on the Causse du Quercy Blanc, located on the GR65, the road to Santiago de Compostela, between Cahors and Montcuq, in a picturesque landscape of farms and hamlets scattered in an environment of limestone plateaus and land devoted to agriculture. The name of this place, which is attached to the old village of l'Hospitalet, comes from the Occitan dialect Me trigo de dina, i.e. from triga meaning "it (me) is late" and from dinnar translated as "dinner, supper", a toponym which suggests, not without a touch of humour, that here the days of labour, or even walking, were probably very long!
