Beelitz is located south-west of Berlin and can be reached by direct train in around 30 minutes. It's known to all Berliners and Brandenburgers for its asparagus, which is very popular in spring. In May and June, you'll see the words "Beelitzer Spargel" all over Berlin's restaurants. But Beelitz attracts visitors above all thanks to an absolutely exceptional site: the Beelitz-Heilstätten, a former therapeutic clinic from the early 20th century, left partly abandoned and where the forest has reclaimed its rights. A place that will delight hikers, photographers and lovers of unusual places.
