Givry, a small town at the gateway to the Côte Chalonnaise, is an ancient fortified town with a wealth of 18th-century monuments: the town hall or Porte de l'Horloge, the beautiful church, a masterpiece built in 1771, the round market hall, fountains and washhouses that will delight heritage lovers. Givry is also a wine appellation, givry, whose AOC was recognized in 1946, and which boasts some twenty winegrowing estates covering 265 hectares. On foot, by bike or even on a scooter, set off through the vineyards to discover the picturesque surrounding villages. A peaceful, unspoilt Burgundy, much appreciated by the locals.
