This village located opposite Adiaké is known for the quality of its people's welcome, its peaceful atmosphere and its unique configuration on the edge of the Aby Lagoon, the second largest lagoon in the country after the Ebrié Lagoon. It hosts the annual Samandjè Beach festival, organized since 1998 by the Union of Youth of Aby Samandjè (UJAS). This exceptional festival is celebrated every year at Easter and mobilizes the entire population of Aby as well as a large part of the Aboisso department. For three days, all kinds of contests follow one another (beauty contests, dance contests, swimming contests in the lagoon, artists' performances, etc.), dugout races and, the main attraction of Samandjè Beach, the release of the dugout of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny generations (Fa Ele or Aby Salaman in Agni). Cultural heritage of great value testifying to the attachment of the people of Aby to their traditions, a symbol of self-sacrifice, solidarity in the effort, union and social cohesion, this imposing boat of nearly 25 m long that can support a load of more than one hundred people is carved in the trunk of a tree called Bosseman. The nautical parade of this monument is a great moment for the whole village. An authentic festival where tourists are almost non-existent to discover a folkloric facet of the life of the inhabitants and fishermen of the lagoon. If you are not here for the festival, there is nothing to stop you from going there just to enjoy the authentic atmosphere
