Ballindaloch is a village, but it is its castle and park that are the most famous. Ballindaloch castle is considered one of the most romantic castles and is, as such, one of the most renowned. The village is also home to several distilleries, whose fame has spread far beyond Scotland's borders: Glenfarclas, Glenlivet and Cragganmore. In the vicinity, you can also visit the site of Drumin Castle (a sublime ruined castle), admire the old bridge over the River Avon (built in 1800), the cairn of Marionburgh or the Inveraron Symbol Stones in the parish church of the eponymous hamlet.
