Roslin became famous because it is home to Rosslyn Chapel, mentioned in The Da Vinci Code (and seen in the film). This chapel, richly decorated, is a very visited site, as much by esotericism lovers, fans of Dan Brown, as by art and history lovers or lovers of symbols. Don't be surprised, people come here by bus from all over the world! Roslin is also known for another peculiarity: it is in the town's institute that Dolly, the first cloned sheep, was born in 1997. It is finally a green destination, with Roslin glen, a valley where it is good to walk and practice outdoor activities. You will be able to observe a lush green nature, and experienced birdwatchers will look for green peaks and yellow buntings.
