Village on the southern tip of Lake Baikal, 12 km north of Slioudianka. A few wooden houses, a market and a deserted railway station, worthy of a western. Koultouk is not very crowded: you cross it mainly to reach Slioudianka (which you can see just opposite, on the other side of the lake).
