A local figure, Jean-François Ferrand, known as Fanfan, lives on this motu and has been offering excursions in the Bora Bora lagoon for over 30 years. His motu (not really his own since it is public) is an ideal place to spend a moment away from everything. You can walk around for 2 or 3 hours, bring your picnic, have lunch under the shade of a coconut tree, admire the corals and meet with fins, mask and snorkel beautiful schools of leopard rays. In the distance, Tahaa and Raiatea can be seen in the background. To get there, use the Ferrand family or the services of a taxi-boat. Bora Bora Kontiki Lagon, offers sailing canoe trips.
