Occupying a part of the right orographic slope of the lower Aosta Valley, near Issogne and Verrès, the territory of Champdepraz is not so much known for its historical monuments as for its unique natural beauties. The chief town is located at the bottom of the valley, at the entrance to the Chalamy valley: it is above all the latter that attracts the attention of tourists and walkers. It is in fact a long, completely uncontaminated valley, rich in high altitude lakes, natural and geological curiosities and the heart of the Mont Avic Natural Park. An important network of paths, starting from the hamlet of Covarey (where the hotel and the park's visitor centre are located), allows you to appreciate landscapes that are different from those of the other Valle d'Aosta valleys: the mountains are not as high, but the nature is completely wild. The two longest itineraries, the tour of the Champdepraz lakes and the tour of Mount Avic, allow you to explore the entire area.
