It is the first village in the Aosta Valley coming from Switzerland through the Great St. Bernard Pass. The villages that make up Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, situated on a sunny terrace at an altitude of 1,600 metres, are located at the bottom of the Artanavaz valley, on a communication route used since time immemorial. The main town is characterized by the presence of a beautiful fortified house and the most famous ham factory in the valley; the hamlet of Mottes is the starting point of the ski slopes of the Crevacol area. Further down the valley, Saint-Oyen is a typical little village crossed by the national road 27.
