Travel Guide Empourios

The small hamlet of Empourios and its only tavern are well worth a visit. You'll have to follow rocky tracks for 45 minutes to get to this side of Adamas Bay. But what a change of scenery! At certain points, the track crosses canyons straight out of western movie sets. The rich soil of this part of Milos offers contrasts of white and red, barely concealed by vegetation populated by olive trees and maquis bushes.
