Place with a remarkable palace in Mulhouse, a real little jewel of the Rhine Renaissance, place hosting the Christmas market.

Here beats the heart of Mulhouse since the Middle Ages. This palace is a real little jewel of the Rhenish Renaissance. On the pediment, the Klapperstein, a grimacing stone mask weighing a few kilos that slanderous women had to wear on market day. Next to it is the St. Stephen's Temple, which took ten years to build, starting in 1858. At the back of the temple stands a column, built to honour the memory of the scholar Jean-Henri Lambert. It is on this "village square" for the Mulhouse people that the Christmas market takes place every year.

The place of the meeting of Mulhouse is the central place of the old town. There is the magnificent city hall and Saint Etienne temple. This is where the Christmas market is held every year too.

C'est une très jolie place qu'il ne faut absolument pas manquer si vous visitez Mulhouse. C'est un lieu incontournable. Et que ces façades de maison sont superbes! Qu'il fait bon se promener et s'arrêter sur cette place. Nous reviendons en Aout voir si elle est fleurit avec les fleurs mythiques de l'Alsace : les géramiums.
