If you're not yet ready to tackle the 30-meter waves of Nazaré, Comporta is the ideal place to improve your style. The school offers courses at various levels, as well as stand-up paddle outings in the Melides lagoons and rice fields. Open since 2008, the school is certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation. It can accompany beginners and experienced surfers alike to the best spots in the area. Surf in Comporta is associated with Maria Mar and has a souvenir store on the beach.
