DOMAINE JEAN-PIERRE ET QUENTIN MICHEL
Read moreJean-Pierre Michel is a benchmark for fans of Mâconnais wines and Burgundy in general. Since 2017, together with his son Quentin, they now farm nearly 9 ha in Quintaine, in the heart of the Viré-Clessé and Mâcon-Villages appellations. Their manual work, without herbicides and using organic fertilizers, earned them Organic Agriculture certification in 2022. To find them, just look for the signature M on the orange brick cellar in Quintaine.
CAVE COOPERATIVE LA VIGNE BLANCHE
Read moreThe Cave de la Vigne blanche, established in Clessé since 1927, brings together the expertise of some 15 growers, who work on some 90 ha of vines. The winery produces two Crémants de Bourgogne (one pinot, the other chardonnay), as well as AOP mâcon-villages and viré-clessé. Regularly awarded medals, these wines can be tasted by the smiling store team, who also offer wines from partners such as Vinsobres and Pouilly-Vinzelles.
