A must-see corner of Swissness! The Val d'Illiez is a valley equidistant from the Col de Bretolet and Monthey. The best of the past seems to have been preserved: wooden chalets retain their rustic origins, while new buildings are shy about altering the delightful landscape. The soul of the valley can be felt in the authentic, yet intense contact with the locals. Here, care is taken to preserve the Alpine identity while improving tourist facilities. Please note: the spa with its sulphurous hot springs unfortunately went bankrupt in 2020.
