1,030 inhabitants. Santa Maria d'Oló, a small village in the extreme northwest of the county of Moianès, is home to an astonishing geological and landscape heritage that can be discovered while walking through its steep alleys and in the green and steep surroundings surrounding the town, located at an altitude of 542 metres. The small Baroque church of Santa Maria d'Oló preserves one of the few altarpieces preserved from this period, most of which were destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. The famous Bray d'Oló, a fine example of an anticline fold, can be seen from the centre of the village or by means of a two-hour walk from Plaça Catalunya to the site of the "mirador del Bray" (2 km, 100 metres vertical drop, easy). At sunset, the rays give the eroded rock fabulous shades of colour! The "Mirador del Serrat de cal Tripeta" offers a sublime 360°C panorama opening onto a sea of hills and the majestic massifs of the region. A view worth a visit!
