227 inhabitants. It is one of the most beautiful villages in the region! Perched at an altitude of 454 metres, Mura is located at the foot of the northwestern slope of the Sant Llorenç del Munt massif. Its historic centre, picturesque and perfectly preserved, seems frozen beyond time, preserving the charm of its medieval splendour. Its architecture reflects the abundance of travertine in the region, a sedimentary limestone rock that is currently under construction. In the heart of the Sant Llorenç del Munt Natural Park and the former delta that once occupied this land, the village is surrounded by a spectacular natural landscape with hiking trails, gorges, caves, streams and groves. A visit to the unusual Puig de la Balma, a large 12th century building built in a rocky cavity, will certainly arouse your curiosity! Finally, Mura conceals important vestiges of its wine-growing past, starting with the tines coiled in the heart of nature.
