At the entrance to the Cape Verde peninsula, Keur Massar belongs to the town of Pikine. Created in 1996, this commune has grown in importance in recent years, being the most populated of Pikine. Many infrastructures have been established such as schools, banks, petrol stations and the largest traditional hospital in the country. However, there are still few hotels and there is little interest in coming here unless you want to visit the Studio Wudé workshop and one of the ten traditional markets.
