Continuing along the Pan-American Highway, close to the village of Las Uvas, here's another black-sand beach that's still a little wild compared to its neighbors. To get there, take the road by the Las Uvas pedestrian bridge (where the fork to El Valle is located). The beach is 1.7 km from the Pan-American Highway. A few mangrove trees provide shade. And, as with all Pacific coastlines, you need to be careful with the force of the waves. As you continue on your way, particularly if you have a motorized vehicle, there are several access points that will enable you to enjoy the beautiful, less popular stretches of sand.
