Shortly after Playa San Martin, going up to the northeast, Playa Río Chen is a small cove whose rocks form natural pools that make swimming easy. The water is warm and transparent, and you can observe with your mask and snorkel some pretty colored fish. The beach is very popular with the island's families who come in large numbers at weekends. During the week, it is much more peaceful. There are a few typical bars and restaurants, where you can eat fried fish or seafood with your feet in the sand. The prices are correct for the setting and you can take advantage of the parasols and deckchairs if you drink.
