Vaduz, the capital (or capital) of Liechtenstein with a population of around 5,000, is 455 metres above sea level and is known by the inhabitants of the country as "the small town". And that's quite normal since Liechtenstein itself is 160 square kilometres. Vaduz is located on the right bank of the Rhine and is home to the Parliament and the government. But it is mainly visited for the medieval princely castle which overlooks it and which has undergone restoration since its destruction in the 16th century. From Vaduz, it is easy to go hiking in Triesenberg in the summer or skiing at Malburn resort. In the centre of the small town, there are many museums and a working population.
