Meina is a very old village that already existed in the Bronze Age. It has preserved some beautiful churches, including the Chiesa di Santa Margerita, built between 1100 and 1200 in a beautiful Romanesque style, with some interesting frescoes, and the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta, whose bell tower dates from the same period. There are also some dreamy resorts, the most spectacular of which is Villa Faraggiana. The advantage of this small village, located between Arona and Lesa, is that it has some nice and affordable hotels on the lakefront, with a view. Ideal for those who want to take a break for the night or a few days.
