Among the many natural sites of Oku Nikko, Kegon waterfall is undoubtedly one of the most famous. Often considered as the most beautiful waterfalls in Japan, with those of Nachi and Fukuroda, these waterfalls are indeed impressive. The water falls on a height of nearly 100 meters from the cliff, causing dizzying sounds. It can be accessed from a free viewing platform, or you can pay to go to the foot of the waterfall. The site is picturesque in any season, but becomes truly spectacular in winter when the water freezes.
