The small town of Chagny acts as a bridge between the Côte-d'Or and Saône-et-Loire regions, providing a wine link between the Côte Chalonnaise to the south and Burgundy's most prestigious crus to the north. The town's gastronomic reputation was established by chef Lameloise, but it is also a "green" vacation resort with almost 80 km of hiking trails and a long "voie verte". Bordered by the Canal du Centre, Chagny is a beautiful river port of call, with its harbor equipped for pleasure boaters. Don't miss the huge, well-stocked Sunday market in the town center, which has been awarded the "Saveurs et savoir-faire de Bourgogne" label.
