A city born in the 18th century with an inestimable heritage value, the historic center is now protected. Sometimes called "Little Paris" because of its 19th century architecture, Goya is one of the poorest cities in the country. However, there is a real impetus around the preservation of heritage, so the city is slowly recovering the attention it deserves. If you're in town, visit the Plaza Italia, the cathedral and the indigenous cemetery next to the Miní stream. Venture to Islas Damas. Here you will find an exuberant fauna such as monkeys, carpinchos and yacaré caimans.
