The village of Agonda boasts a long, beautiful beach ideal for lazing around and swimming, but beware of the currents. Located just a few kilometers north of Palolem and easily accessible by two-wheeler, it is one of the only beaches in the country designated as a nesting site for olive ridley turtles, which come to lay their offspring in the sand in September. Quieter and less crowded than its neighbor, it is mainly frequented by Indian and foreign families. To the north of Agonda is the small beach of Cola and its lagoon, then a little further on the fort Cabo de Rama.
