The family resort of Nai Yang lies to the northwest of the island, before the airport. It's a large, long beach, subject to many winds, making it an ideal spot for kitesurfing. The sea is often rough, but the waves are not particularly dangerous. Swimming is supervised. In the low season, due to the winds, garbage covers the beach and it can sometimes be badly cleaned... Numerous restaurants line the beach, as well as bars and mini-markets. If you're coming from another beach in Phuket, take a bus to the airport and ask to get off at Pearl Village.
