Wildlife in Bahrain has long been abused by human activities, hunting, then industrialization and oil fields have not left much room for local wildlife. Many native species were threatened with extinction. It is for this reason that the archipelago was one of the first countries in the Gulf to create a nature reserve to safeguard the Kingdom's unique ecosystem. Two parts make up the reserve, one reserved for biologists and the other for visitors. Once there, you will take a bus that will take you to the different enclosures where you can admire the most emblematic animals and plants of the region. Thanks to the efforts of biologists, the populations of local species have been able to reproduce and are now much less threatened than they were before. Spending a few hours in the company of such beautiful animals is a memorable experience.
