Bahrain is one of the great specialists in the "land recclamation" in French, gaining ground on the sea by building artificial wilderness. By the end of the nineteenth century, Bahrain began to expand their islands. Today, it is estimated that 10% of the country's overall area is the result of this expansion policy. But since the 2000 s, Bahrain has developed large-scale housing projects. The islands of Amwaj are the best example. Inspired by the dubaïote model of Palm Islands, these artificial lands draw on the sea a lagoon archipelago of 4.31 km ². In the center, the main island is the gateway to the island complex. An artificial lagoon is located at its center. Then four atolls around it, on which luxurious residences, hotels and restaurants were opened. A space is entirely reserved for sports and playful activities for your children. Very popular with expatriates and rich Bahrain, the price of real estate exploded and today it is one of the most luxurious and sought after neighborhoods in the kingdom. This is one of the few free zones where foreigners can buy 100% of the shares of real estate. It is not unusual for Manama residents to spend the weekend to enjoy the latest facilities and Amwaj beach.
