Chong Kneas is where the Siem Reap River joins the Great Lake, 15 km to the south, where you can rent a boat to visit the picturesque lake villages of the Tonle Sap. Thousands of people live there, in floating houses, and all the activities revolve around fishing: huge fish ponds in floating cages, prahok and teuk treifactories... Unfortunately, this has become a real tourist trap, the prices charged are far too high. It is better to go to Kompong Phluk... Allow half a day to make a satisfactory visit. Cost of the boat rental : 5 to 15 $.
