About 35 km from Leh. Nimmu, Nimo, Nimmoo or Nyemo, is a charming green village on the banks of the Indus. It's an interesting place for rafting and kayaking enthusiasts. The village center boasts several small restaurants where you can stop for tea or refreshments on the way to Alchi. The main attraction in the area lies some 8 km to the south-east of the village: Magnetic Hill, or Gravity Hill, is a hill surrounded by slopes that create a striking optical illusion: vehicles appear to be travelling up the road in defiance of gravity, when in fact they are travelling downwards.
