Tegar, also called Tiggar by the locals, is a small village of 900 souls located on the Silk Road that linked China to Central Asia. In Kyagar, at the entrance to the village, you can even see part of the Maney Ringmo, a sacred wall built in the early 18th century to protect the caravans. Clinging to the southern flank of the Kharakorum range, the village boasts two monasteries of different obediences. Nearby, the small village of Panamik, perched at an altitude of 3,180 m, is well worth a visit, as it seems to have no way back. Nature's generosity has endowed it with hot springs renowned for their therapeutic virtues.
