L'Aldea is a small agricultural village in the Baix Ebre region, located between Tortosa and Camarles and at the entrance to the Ebro Delta Natural Park. Once a communication crossroads on the ancient Via Romana, L'Ald ea underwent significant development in the medieval period. Four defensive towers remain from this period, served by a road built by the tourist office, which can be visited on foot or by bicycle. It was not until 1983 that the village was separated from Tortosa.
