Located along the Ebro River, just opposite the village of Xerta, Tivenys - spelled Tivenis until the beginning of the 20th century - is a small village of just under 900 inhabitants whose main source of income is farming. Since time immemorial, some of the best Mediterranean products have been cultivated here, such as olives, almonds, carob and grapes. The village church, dedicated to Saint Michael, is particularly noteworthy.
