It is impossible to pass through Auxy without admiring the old lime tree which gave its name to the square where it stands. It also became the symbol of the town in 1990. After enjoying the shade of the lime tree, visitors should not miss a stop at the chapel of Repas or the church of Saint-Pierre before stopping in front of a device that was used to immobilize and then shoe the oxen or cows that were doing agricultural or forestry work.
