Located on the edge of the lake, in a verdant setting, the Centre nautique d'Autun is equipped with two indoor pools (one of which is 25 meters long), a 50-meter outdoor pool and a relaxation area (since the energy crisis, the hammam and sauna have unfortunately remained closed). Thanks to these playful facilities, the general public is invited to work out and relax. A vast lawn is available for sunbathing on sunny days. Swimming lessons, aquagym and aquabike sessions are also available.

Take off on your mountain bike from the top of the Croix de la Libération for a thrilling ride! A shuttle bus takes you to the summit from where four trails start, including one suitable for all-terrain wheelchairs. All levels of difficulty (green, blue, red, black) are available, and up to 8 runs can be made in an afternoon. A pump track, bike trails and enduro tracks (downloadable map at the leisure center) are also available. Equipment hire available.

Did you bring your sneakers, but don't know where to wear them out? Head to the lakeside Marcel-Lucotte leisure park to download four trail routes via QR codes. The simplest is flat and circles the lake (1.8 km), while the other three venture more or less into the forest, on the hills overlooking the town. They all start at the same time, so you can change your mind along the way, depending on your state of fitness. 7.8 km (181 m ascent), 12.7 km (320 m ascent) and 18.5 km (422 m ascent) are available.

The Grande traversée du Morvan is a 248 km signposted mountain bike trail between Avallon and Autun. It's not necessarily a highly technical adventure, but should be reserved for hardy mountain bikers, as 4,300 meters of positive gradient await them. Although it can be done in either direction, the route is recommended from Avallon to Autun. On the dedicated website, stages are suggested, with a GPX track for free download. Some tourist agencies also offer the excursion.
