Located inland, this village is home to a small rural community that has been merged with Percé since 1971. It is here that Fred, the official groundhog of Quebec, makes his annual predictions about the arrival of spring on the famous "Groundhog Day". This is also where an agricultural school was founded in the 1930s. Although it closed its doors some 30 years later, the former school grounds have been revived since 2015 when a brewery farm, the excellent Auval Brewery, set up shop here. A stop at its kiosk will allow you to get your hands on its delicious nectars, which are sometimes difficult to find elsewhere.
